Drunkard's Prayer

Anticipation....again....time for Over the Rhine's newest album.

Each one is always such a special treat, and today, I pre-ordered my copy.
Nothing like the feeling of knowing something good is on it's way, even though it won't get here until March. The waiting begins.

A deeply personal record, Drunkard's Prayer was recorded in Karin and Linford's living room and reflects the relaxed atmosphere and sonic warmth that can only be found at home. With upright bass, piano, acoustic guitars, a few horns, a few subtle textures and one amazing voice, Over the Rhine's new songs are often stunningly simple and always fearless. There's a lot of love on this one. Quiet music should be played loud.

That sounds really good. I'll have to come over and listen with you some time.

I actually have never really listened to them. I think they're coming around town, right? I need to get a ticket and see what all the 'fuss' is about. :-)
