i used to go quilting with my mom. there was a group of ladies from the church i grew up in that had a quilting club. we would quilt all together on one quilt and the finished product would be auctioned off at the annual fund-raising event and the proceeds went to different charities. it's fun. you'd like it. especially if you can get a group of people to do it with. =)
That is a gorgeous quilt indeed! I hope you win it. :)
And you should definitely take up quilting. I too have been interested in it, but for now I'm sticking to the hope that I'll pick up knitting again sometime soon.
