Colossians 2

2My purpose is that they may be encouraged in heart and united in love, so that they may have the full riches of complete understanding, in order that they may know the mystery of God, namely, Christ, (>>)

encourage. 1. to inspire with courage, spirit, or hope. 2. to spur on. 3. to give help or patronage to.

Exactly. That is what happened during my small group last night. Going around and each of us saying something encouraging (ended up being many 'somethings') about each other, something we love about them, or a story about each other. It may seem like this is something you do sitting on your bunks on the last night of summer camp. Or around a bonfire. Or during a toast as one enters a new stage of life. However, I think we don't do that often enough! I can pretty much vouch for each of the ladies in my SG, that we left with a lighter step. With a feeling of being accepted and valued for who we are. But also with the oddness of what random things others remember about us - or things that stand out and leave an impression. I encourage (hah) you to try to do that more often. It doesn't have to be face to face, it can be through an anonymous note if you like. But don't hold in the ways others inspire or touch you. You never know how the reality of it will touch them
