There's no place like home

Well, what seems to be overtaking much of our thoughts these days is not our wedding and plans...nope. It's our living situations! (isn't that a bit backwards???) Phil's condo closes (hopefully) soon, and we have been house-hunting at a feverish speed. But nothing has really stuck out...till lately. There is this one house in Belmont that we can't get out of our heads. It's preaty cosmetically dated (hence acquiring the name "The Brady Bunch house") but nothing that's not doable. And even if the task goes beyond our expertise, we have plenty of skilled friends we can call on for a quick tutorial (praise the Lord).

So....we are rolling around the idea of making an offer soon......praying about it. We shall see. It's all so exciting. Maybe once that is done I can actually get back to planning the details of my quickly-approaching wedding on May 13! Wow!

One thing I'd like to ask you all to pray for is Phil's mom. Over a crazy year of her not feeling well and the doctors poking, prodding, from diagnosing her diabetic to fixing hernias, they finally found a tumor on her pancreas that IS cancerous. She is currently awaiting word from OSU if they feel comfortable performing an operation to remove the tumor.....or if they need her to undergo chemo to shrink it first. Please pray for wisdom and skilled doctors. Also pray for her heart, and that of Phil's Dad and sister....none of whom are believers and all are quite shaken by this. We pray that through this they will see thier need of the Savior we know to be a necessity. We also pray she will be well enough to attend our wedding.

But God is faitful...and is always showing Himself; just one thing after another, more for us to look back upon with confidence in how He's provided, and hope for the future.

And with that, I bid you all adieu.....
